As we reported BlackBerry
has released an OS update to the Blackberry 10 Dev Alpha bringing it to
version 10.9.10.35. This update is available Over-The-Air (OTA). This should hold the promised features like Phone, and Hub.
If you are lucky enough to have a Dev Alpha, click on the software
update in settings on your device. You can also go to the developer page, but it has not been updated to reflect the new OS.
An OS update to bring Dev Alpha devices up to v 10.9.10.35 has been released. In a post on its Developer Blog last week, BlackBerry promised minor changes in the SDK, but that Hub and Maps would be enabled on Dev Alpha preview devices.
As of
right not the Developer page has not been updated to reflect the new
version. What we do know is the it is supposed to bring the BlackBerry
Hub, Phone and BlackBerry Maps applications. This allows for end to end
integration of the Blackberry 10 applications.
UPDATE: Hub messaging is now functional, so developers can peek to their
heart’s content. The phone interface has now been made active, so Dev
Alpha’s with active SIMs can now actually make calls(!). Maps, alas, is
there but seems to have trouble connecting to location data.
