WhatsApp Updated To v2.9.571 for Blackberry 0

WhatsApp Messenger for BlackBerry is a cross platform chat app messenger to chat with other smartphones. Already widely in use and the BlackBerry and iPhone users are chat apps most downloaded besides BBM in AppWorld.

The service model for WhatsApp on BlackBerry has not recently changed.  Version 2.9.571 had bug which caused it to incorrectly display “lifetime service” in place of the correct service expiration date.  This bug has since been fixed, and version 2.9.653 has been posted.
This bug only affects the display of the expiration date in the client, not the actual expiration date of the account.

It seems that the folks over at WhatsApp made a slight error when they pushed out the update to version 2.6.571.  In that version it was showing that BlackBerry users were receiving a free lifetime service from WhatsApp, so obviously we were intrigued as to what this meant.  It seems that it was merely an error, as WhatsApp has now updated their app to version 2.9.653 and the free lifetime service has been removed.

There is no word yet on whether or not this was a pre-emptive release of something WhatsApp is working.  Hopefully we will see WhatsApp on BlackBerry 10 as there has been much debate as to whether or not the developers will bring their very popular cross-platform messenger to the new BlackBerry operating system.

WhatsApp, cross-platform messaging applications are very popular, seems to have no interest in BlackBerry 10. In fact, that may not entirely be a bad thing.

WhatsApp Messenger much in use, including our own BlackBerry users to chat / communicate with colleagues who do not use a BlackBerry / BBM. WhatsApp app is the most widely used among iPhone users (iOS), Android, etc. .. Including BBM users with iOS users.

According to information from representatives of WhatsApp Messenger support via email, the company that makes the application chat / messenger of the most popular BlackBerry Messenger after it said that it has no plans to support BlackBerry 10 OS Device!

WhatsApp has come under criticism for lack of security. Messages can easily be stolen, because they are not encrypted. However, even if you do not want to use the app more than likely will not make its way to the BB10.

A spokesman said CrackBerry WhatsApp responded, "We have no plans to support BlackBerry 10 now, sorry." Sad for some, but they never say never.

RIM has a lot of support app developers to create a new app for BlackBerry 10 with great rewards and trade fairs / developer workshop in mancan countries. We were very surprised if RIM does not try to give support to WhatsApp to develop the app I'll be supporting this latest BlackBerry OS. WhatsApp will hopefully change your mind and develop WhatsApp app for use on BlackBerry 10.
