Video BlackBerry Z10 versus iPhone 5 0

BlackBerry Platform 10 is now arguably has not reached the final stage. In fact, the launch was still starting 8 days. Even so, that does not mean one device, the BlackBerry Z10, can not compete with smartphones that are considered equal opponents iPhone 5.

Video BlackBerry 10 Cascades Reality 2D-3D MapView 0

RIM continues to guide & produce developers with more core accessible functions. The latest code dropped yesterday is the Cascades powered MapView which devs can load up into their app for easy yet beautiful map integration. This MapView sample app has some pretty neat features apart from accuracy. The augmented enabled view is the thing & reminds of something extraordinary.

If you remember, a Sweden based user interface company The Astonishing Tribe (TAT) was acquired by RIM back in 2010. This company, now known as RIM Sweden, built the awesome UI we see on BlackBerry 10. Before joining RIM, TAT showed their impressive skills & one of them was the augmented reality connected Horizon 2D-3D Map. Below is it’s demo video & you will understand what I’m hoping/talking about. Can’t wait for BlackBerry 10 Maps 

RIM describes this new development feature:

MapView provides out of the box elegance with beautiful map tiles and all the basic interactions such as pinch-to-zoom and drag-n-pan. You can also drop push pins for POIs and show bubbles to present more details about a POI. Better yet, both the pin and the bubble can be fully customized to represent your own branding. Although these cover the basic needs for most of us, anything with Cascades has to be a bit more special, right? So where is the moment of charm in MapView? You just have to continue reading (or watch the video above).

I know 2D maps are nice and they do their job, but they are also yesterday’s news. The MapView takes that to the next level with APIs for tilting and rotating the map in a 3D space. Hook those two up with the gyroscope and the compass and you’ve got augmented reality in your app with zero effort. In fact, that’s exactly what I did in the CustomMapView sample app. The sample demonstrates the full power of MapView as of today and will be kept up to date as we add more features to our SDK. Instagram-Like Photo Filters on BlackBerry Z10 (video) 0

As you can see in the above video the BlackBerry Z10 will offer Instagram-Like photo filters baked right into the camera application itself. The BlackBerry Z10 in the above video is an early build featuring only 1GB of RAM instead of the 2GB on the final version.

In the video you can see that there are features that allow you to do a lot of things to the image from within the camera application. Things like photo editing like resizing, rotating and cutting the photo into a different shapes and so on.

We previously showed you what the Instagram-like native photo filters would be in BlackBerry 10. There was even a video to demo the place holders for such filters. Now, we get to see them in action in this new video.

In this short video, we take a look at the Z10′s camera app and accompanying photo filters.  You can choose from a wide vary of filters.  In addition to changing the picture’s colours, you can also add artistic filters to express your creativity.  Furthermore, you can make complex edits to the photo, such as resizing, rotating and cutting the photo into a specific shape.

The picture editor for BlackBerry 10 has many filters. It features several modes like ’Automatic’, ‘Action’, ‘Whiteboard, ‘Night’ and ‘Beach’ or ‘Snow,’ something iOS and Windows Phone do not have natively.

BlackBerry Z10 Video Camera Test 0

We saw a video BlackBerry Z10 hands of those whom get it to provide additional information from the BlackBerry device Z10. This video features the camera BlackBerryZ10. Or, more precisely the features of the camera and video device to see its capabilities.

The camera itself features several modes such as' Automatic ',' Action ',' Whiteboard 'Night' and 'Beach' or 'Snow,' which is not available on Apple & Windows platforms. In fact, it is not clear whether the filter is extended to video.

The Z10 BlackBerry comes with an 8MP rear camera that takes an image resolution of 3264 x 1836 pixels in 16:9 mode and 3264 x 2448 pixels in 4:3 mode. 1.9MP front camera triggers with 1600 x 1200 or 1600 x 900 pixels.

SIRI Like Voice Command in BlackBerry 10 Video Demo 0

Research In Motion issued an update OS to BlackBerry Dev Alpha 10. While some people are struggling with the problem of getting the new update installed, others are lucky enough to start playing with the update and find out all the new features.

One of the features stuck out, voice command functionality to an operator who sounded eerily similar to Siri. Could RIM be using the same technology from Nuance? Using voice command also allows you to access the new Universal Search feature. Official RIM Introduce BlackBerry Curve 9320 0

BlackBerry Curve 9320 smartphone is officially introduced the latest 3G RIM which has a battery life better. '' The new smartphone is designed to bring convenience to the users to stay connected socially. Curve 9320 will be devoted to the first smartphone users and users of the previous Curve.'' Says Executive VP, Business Smartphone RIM, Carlo Chiarello.

Some excellent features such as the BlackBerry Curve 9320, the dedicated fuels that will allow users to access features of the fuel. Like the Curve 9220, BlackBerry Curve 9320, which has OS 7.1 is also equipped with FM Radio.
