Setting up Places for BlackBerry 0

Troubled by up Places for BlackBerry?

Consider some setting to give permission to the application up to find your location detection to be able to check in and use up Places on BlackBerry Smartphones

According to RIM, it is important to note that by default, the option "Share My Location" with up inactive / disabled (unchecked) and probably also can not be edited in gray (non-editable/grayed checkbox). Option will remain inactive until detection application that you have allowed Facebbok to use the Places on Facebook and you've received syarata and conditions / disclaimer up Places.

How to setup:

1. Go to the Facebook application for BlackBerry smartphones
2. Click the icon Places (P)
3. Click Check In button
4. Select a location from the list that appears or select "Add a Place" and fill in name and description "Description", before clicking "Create"

After a disclaimer has been you accept, the option "Share My Location with Facebook" checkbox will automatically be enabled.

To enable or disable these options:

1. Go to Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones
2. Press the Menu button
3. Select Options
4. Scroll down the page for the option "My Location Share with Facebook"
5. For the detection of locations with GPS technology, you must have BlackBerry Device GPS location capability and services must be activated / enabled on the BlackBerry smartphone. If the option is not enabled, up Places not function properly, the location shown would not be accurate. If the BlackBerry smartphone does not have GPS capability, up Places will use a "cell site location services" to your location detection with estimates and certainly features "Location Services" should be. Set to "Location On".

How to Enable "Location Services":

A. On the BlackBerry smartphone with BlackBerry Device Software 5.0 (OS5):

1. Select Options
2. Select Advanced Options
3. Select GPS
4. Make sure the GPS Services is set to Location On

B. On the BlackBerry smartphone with BlackBerry OS6:

1. From the homescreen, select the search icon
2. Type "Location Services"
3. Select Options
4. Select Location Settings
5. Make sure the Location Services is set to Location On

Please note if Location Services is not available, your carrier may not allow access to GPS. Contact your carrier for more information.
