Facebook for BlackBerry ® smartphones do not receive notifications for messages sent by friends, friend request, group invitation, or event invitation.

Follow the steps below:

Step 1 - Login to Facebook for BlackBerry devices

On the Home screen or in the application list, click the Facebook icon.
Type in your login.
Click on Login.

Step 2 - Configure Notification Facebook account

Log in to Facebook.com using a browser on a computer.
Click Settings in the top right corner.
Click Notification.
Make sure the correct email address displayed.
Configure notification options as required.
Click Save Changes.
Note: A BlackBerry smartphone user has the option to set notifications for Facebook specific items to be sent via email or SMS. If the item is not selected, the notification for a particular item is not sent to the address or number listed above SMS notification settings available.

Step 3 - Configure the Facebook app on a BlackBerry smartphone to connect to the messaging application.

Log in to Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones on your BlackBerry smartphone.
Shown menu and select Options.
Select the check box next to Connect your Facebook account with: BlackBerry Messages application.
Shown menu again, and click Save.

Step 4 - Configure the FaceBook application on your BlackBerry smartphone to display the Email Notification

Log in to Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones on your BlackBerry smartphone.
Shown menu and select Options.
Select the check box next to the Facebook notifications.
Display menu again, and click Save.
