A. Make Phone Call Logs Notes

From the Home screen, press the Send key, then highlight Call Log2. Press the Menu button, select "View", followed by "History"3. Highlight Call Log, press the Menu button and select "Add Notes"4. Press the Menu button and select "save".



B. Is your voice mail password entered automatically 


At work I voice my BlackBerry smartphone profile "Silence" because I did not want to disrupt the meeting or disturb people around my table, however, this can lead to missed calls. To access my messages quickly, I have my voice mail password automatically entered when I access my mailbox. If you are not sure how to access your voicemail or to inquire about setting up your voicemail, contact your wireless service provider for more information. 
BlackBerry ® 6 and BlackBerry ® 7 OS
  1. From the Home screen, press the Send key 
  2. Press the Menu button, select "Options" followed by "Voice Mail" 
  3. Select the check box next to automatically enter the password4. Enter the password, press the Menu button and select "save".
BlackBerry ® Device Software 5.0 and below
  1. From the Home screen, press the Send key 
  2. Press the Menu key, and select "Options" 
  3. Select the "Voice Mail" and enter your password 
  4. Press the Menu button and select "Save"

C. Use Call Forwarding

 
I often use this feature when I was traveling to a friend's house because they have wireless service, but they also have a home telephone network. With their permission, I forward all incoming calls to my BlackBerry smartphone to land the house. Before trying to use call forwarding, I suggest contacting your wireless service provider to ensure that this feature is supported by your service representative. 

BlackBerry 6 and BlackBerry 7
  1. From the Home screen, press the Send key 
  2. Press the Menu key and select "Options", followed by "Call Forwarding"Further Forward Calls select "Always" or "Customize" 
  3. When finished, press the Menu button and select "Save".
BlackBerry Device Software 5.0 and below
  1. From the Home screen, press the Send key 
  2. Press the Menu key and select "Options", followed by "Call Forwarding" 
  3. Further Forward Calls select "Always" or "Conditional" 
  4. When finished, press the Menu button and select "Save".

D. Lets call out when the screen is locked 


By default, when you set a password on your BlackBerry smartphone, you can not make outgoing calls when the device is locked. If you want to make a call, follow these steps. 
BlackBerry 6 and BlackBerry 7
  1. From the Home screen or in a folder select "Options" 
  2. Select "Security", followed by "password" 
  3. Select the checkbox next to "Allow Outgoing Calls While Locked" 
  4. Press the Menu button and select "Save".

BlackBerry Device Software 5.0 and below

  1. From the Home screen or in a folder select "Options", followed by "password" 
  2. Select "Yes" from the drop down menu next to "Allow Outgoing Calls While Locked" 
  3. Press the Menu button and select "save".
