If you have a BlackBerry ® smartphone, chances are you have spent a lot of time in your Messages application, send and receive emails or see your phone call logs. Today I want to share the call log, and share some tips and tricks so you can customize how your phone call logs appear in your smartphone. For example, did you know that you can pass a call just appear in your Messages application instead of all the phone calls? We just discussed. 

A. What is a Phone Call Logs? 


Phone Call Logs appear in the Phone application and show the status of recent calls by showing a missed call indicator, placed call indicator or received call indicator. A call log also includes the date of call, phone number, and the estimated duration of the call.Note: For more information about the exact duration of a call, contact your wireless service provider. 


B. View or hide call logs in the Messages application 

You can optionally display or hide the calls in the Messages application on your BlackBerry smartphone using the following steps. You also have the ability to display missed calls only, which is my preferred setting.1. From the Home screen, press the Phone.2. Press the Menu key and select "Options" followed by "Call Logs and Lists"
  • To show recent and missed calls answered, select "All Calls"
  • To display missed calls only, select the "Missed Calls"
  • To hide call logs in the Messages application, select "None".
3. Press the Menu button and select "save". 

C. Accessing the call log folder 

If you hide the call log, you can still see the Phone Call Logs folder using the following steps:For BlackBerry smartphone with QWERTY keyboard (ie BlackBerry ® Bold ™ 9900 smartphone)
  1. From the Home screen, open the Messages application
  2. Press and hold the "ALT" & "P"
For BlackBerry smartphones with touch screen only (ie BlackBerry ® Torch ™ 9860 smartphone)
  1. From the Home screen, open the Messages application
  2. Press the Menu button and select "Folder View"
  3. Select "Phone Call Logs / Phone Call Logs"
 D. Send a call log phone 

Need to share your log phone calls with contacts? Perform the following steps:
  1. 1. From the Home screen, press the Phone
  2. 2. Press the Menu key and select "Options" followed by "Call Logs and Lists / Call Logs and Lists"
  3. 3. Press the Menu button, select "View" followed by "History"
  4. 4. Highlight a call log, press the Menu key and select "Forward"
E. Delete a call log 

If you want to delete the call log, you have two methods. The first method allows you to pick and choose which phone call logs removed, while the second method allows you to clear the phone call log older than a certain date.Method 1 - Select and choose a phone call logs will be deleted1. From the Home screen, press the PhoneTo delete a single call log, highlight a call log.To delete a range of call logs, highlight a call log, press and hold the "Shift". Using the     trackpad,    slide your finger up or down followed by the release the "Shift". If you have a touch screen, place your finger on the first and last item you want to remove from the list (multi-touch selection).2. Press the Menu key and select "Delete".Method 2 - Remove all call logs that are older than a certain date
  1. From the Home screen, open the Messages application
  2. Press the Menu button and select "Folder View" followed by "Phone Call Logs"
  3. Highlight banner date according to drawings under
  4. Press the Menu key and select "Delete Prior".

F. Add, Change, or Delete Notes Phone Call Logs 

If you need to add, change or delete call log notes, perform the following steps.
  1. From the Home screen, press the Phone and highlight a call log
  2. Press the Menu button and select "View" followed by "History"
  3. Click on the call log and complete one of the following:
  • To add a note, select "Add Notes"
  • To change the entry, select "Edit Notes"
  • To delete a note, select "Edit Notes" and then press the Menu button and select "Clear Field"
     4. Press the Menu button and select "save"
